July 2009

Daniel and I went to Eagle Creek.

catching up

Spring 2009:
Danny and I headed to Bend for a long weekend to celebrate my graduating from OSU. First night we snow camped in the Newberry Caldera within the Deschutes National Forest (20 mi south of Bend). 24 degrees F, 30mph winds, and 4in of snow that night... brrr. Surviving that we stayed at the Cabin Creek Bed & Breakfast for the next 2 nights exploring bend, spelunking some local ice caves, and visiting the High Desert Museum.

I just realized I already wrote about this. Oh well...

People Care!

Hey, as you know, I haven't been writing lately. Maybe a bit of being lost in the fog, and some just having too many things pull at my time. I didn't realize anyone actually read this anymore, I figured a couple, but I didn't know it would be missed if I stopped. I got 2 comments encouraging me to continue, people care!

I think it would be good for me. I've had a lot going on lately, and haven't been writing in my journal, so maybe this would be a good place to process my thoughts.

I am in a contemplative state, which is not unusual. I have been wondering what to do with my life for the last year or so, and I still haven't figured it out. I am working, but it's not what I want to be doing. Part of me thinks that if I just live my life that I will cross paths with some great opportunity, and I will suddenly know what my career/life purpose is going to be.

Just writing that much got me motivated to contact an equine therapist! I did meet with an art therapist last week to talk about the details of art therapy. It was a really helpful meeting, in many ways. I think I would really enjoy therapy, but I would like to spend more time looking into what types of therapy exist. So, that's what I am going to do.
